What’s Not Covered

Products that show wear attributed to exposure to water, chewing, tugging and abrasive surfaces, or if you have supplied incorrect measurements.

Note: While our products are stress-tested and durable, they are not recommended as a sole tying point for extended periods.
Nothing dog related is safe from damage or normal wear and tear over time. As such, normal wear and tear is not covered but you can send your gear back to me for a Collar & Ruff Refresh.
Collar & Ruff is not liable for any damages due to misuse or otherwise. You are liable for determining suitability of gear for your pets.

Measurements: Collar & Ruff is not liable for incorrect sizing (length and/or width) and you should refer to the sizing guide on the website before ordering. Contact us before ordering if you're not sure.

FAQ

How long will my order take to make? - Turnaround represents the time between your order payment being received and the gear being finished. BioThane is 24 hours (in stock items) to 8 days. Leather 1-2 weeks.

BioThane - BioThane is the brand name of all coated webbing products made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. It is a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, easy to clean and weldable.
Avoid hard usage, long exposure to all water types and scuffing/rubbing on all printed products.

Can Ready To Ship collars be adjusted? Most collars can be lengthened or shortened slightly by adding extra holes so please ask. I can also change out stones and gems for different colours.

How do I care for my collar? 
Saddlery leather is pre-treated, however when it gets dirty from time to time, wipe down with a damp rag to get most dirt off. If it is dry, use a little leather conditioner gently rubbed in with a cotton rag.

Lighter coloured leathers will darken with age but how quickly is largely due to usage. Not allowing your dog to swim or play in mud in these collars is recommended but the occasional dip with a good wipe afterwards should be fine. Exposure to chlorinated and salt water is not advised.

BioThane only needs a gentle scrub in water with detergent used for stubborn marks.

Hardware can dull depending on the collar usage. A little metal polish brings back the shine and removes faint scratches. Brass naturally ages and develops a patina that you can re-brighten with a gentle brass cleaner.
